Refugees from Crimea:
The armed conflict in Ukraine made many people leave their homes and travel across the country. These people suffer from the shortage of food, medicines, clothes and all the possessions that they were not able to take with them. The Polish Volunteer Humanitarian Team works on the implementation of an aid project supporting the Crimea Tatars who, after Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, started to migrate leaving all their possessions. Many of them found shelter in the west Ukraine. These are mostly large families living in Drohobych. We support this national minority of 130 people with the cooperation of the Caritas agency of the Eparchy of Sambir-Drohobych of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. We are involved in the integration activity and provide the social assistance including clothes, toys, games and educational materials for children.
